Hello!
Hi! I’m Susannah: Illustrator and Creative with a penchant for hand drawn and handmade. Alongside making things and filling oodles of sketchbooks (obsessively) I teach Art & Design to post 16 year olds and write an almost secret Substack. I am a natural ‘chatty Cathy’ and in my element delivering workshops or illustrating at events. I love drawing on location and keep visual diaries. When home at my creative table I draw, paint, print, pot, sew and make on commission.
And Also…
I’m always working on something: My own creative work is inspired a bit by ancient threadbare stories about fear, mystery, challenge and 100 year long curses. I also have a thing for local folklore, overheard snippets of conversation at bus stops, Tarot archetypes, full moons, wild beasts and plants of the hedgerow, Wolf Hall silhouettes, Tudor hair, dopamine dressing crafters on the internet and mystery discarded shopping lists in supermarket baskets.
My creative work is often a result of all of these worlds being playfully smudged together to create zines, images and objects.
